Our Podcast Production Services

Our podcast studio is based in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of the UK. The studio is fitted with a whole host of professional equipment, including microphones, headphones, mixing boards, video cameras and more, all to capture your audio & video podcasts in the best possible way.

We’re not your typical ‘dark and dingy’ recording studio —our studio is bright, colourful and versatile; it’s designed to provide a comfortable and relaxed environment for your recording, so you can focus on creating great content. And our skilled team can handle all the post-production tasks too, like editing, audio-mastery, colour-grading, and podcast distribution.

Video Podcast Production

Record your video podcast in our unique podcasting studio, located in Newcastle Upon Tyne —it’s the perfect place to get creative. Record in The Shrimp Bar or The Flamboyance, depending on your tastes.

Then our editors will polish the audio and colour-grading, ready for release!

Audio Podcast Production

We offer a range of audio podcast production services. Record your audio podcast in our private, sound-treated podcasting room, The Nest.

Once the recording is done, we’ll edit the podcast to include your intros and outros, and distribute it for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, absolutely. We understand that some podcasters will have their own team and may not need us to provide those services. In those cases, we encourage you to bring your own team, just let us know in advance.

    Alternatively, we have a team of podcast experts, and we can provide all the help you will need as part of a production package.

  • It depends, generally speaking we prefer clients to use our in-house editing services so we can guarantee the output of the work we produce and protect our studio reputation for high-quality work.

    However, in some circumstances we may allow footage to be released to your team. We will likely charge an extra fee for this service.

  • Depending on where you’re based, there may be funded options available.

    If your business is based in the North East of England, there may be fully funded options for podcast planning or creating an audio or video podcast pilot.

    Alternatively, we are a registered NBSL supplier. If you apply to work with us via this route, this can reduce the overall cost of working with us.

  • Yes, we are experts in both the planning (curation) and the production of audio and video podcasts.

    Our Creative Director Ashleigh King offers workshops to help you come up with a theme and format for the podcast; Ashleigh has helped many businesses and individuals to start podcasts from scratch.

    We can help to bring your podcast branding to life too, including your podcast name, music, set design elements, and intros and outros

  • The exact details of what is included in our podcast production packages can be found on our audio podcast and video podcast pages.

    For both video and audio podcasts, we offer podcast planning, podcast recording, podcast editing, podcast marketing, and podcast distribution services.

  • Audio podcasts are easier to produce, since we only need to capture the sound of the podcast, not the video. For audio podcasts, we just need an audio technician in the room with you and your guests, and possibly a podcast producer.

    Video podcasts are more high production, given their nature. We tend to operate a multi camera setup which means we need a videographer in the room to capture the video, as well as a good set design and lighting.

    Since video podcasts are more complex to record and edit, the costs are higher. But the social media impact and engagement can be much higher.

  • Yes, in fact we encourage it. Since we may have recordings, you can’t just drop in, but please contact us and we will be happy to give you the tour.

    Mind, if you have a fear of flamingos you may want to brace yourself!

  • Yes, we offer editing-only packages for both audio and video podcasts. Our team are experts in editing and we can offer fast turnaround times. We will work with you to understand your style and aim to build great long-term relationships with our clients.
